At OS + PCP we engage with our clients and take time to understand their intentions for the use of their outdoor space. We’ll consider their routines, hobbies, and preferences for entertaining, relaxing and gardening; tailoring our designs to accommodate children, pets, and elderly family members.  We prioritize safety and accessibility, designing diverse and flexible zones that promote active play / passive (relaxation) / social connection / emotional & physical wellbeing.

It is important for the built environment to feel like it belongs to the site; so, consideration of the lines, forms, textures, patterns and scale of the architecture is reflected in the landscape. We work closely with architects and building designers to ensure outdoor areas are fully integrated and contextually relevant to the surrounding built environment.

Sustainability is always a key factor for us when designing residential pools and landscapes, with consideration to native flora, resource-conservation, reducing energy consumption and water costs through eco-friendly heating systems and integration systems for collecting rainwater for irrigation, enriching soils and promoting biodiversity.

For year-round enjoyment, we design can sheltered areas using hardscaping, and/or softscape planting to provide shade and protect against harsh sun and strong winds. Our comprehensive lighting plans include ambient, task, and accent lighting to create inviting and safe atmospheres for evening use.
